Butterfly effect

Anyone who knows me will tell you, I use tons of analogies in my every day conversations, like to compare things to something else, use lots of similes and my logics and philosophies, though sometimes slightly misled, nevertheless present an interesting point. My ideas may be a lot like chess, they may be beaten, however, they will start an interesting game. ;) LOL I crack myself up.

Something I incorporate into my view of the world a lot is something called "the butterfly effect", which is in a way related to, but however isn't equated to "the domino effect". There is dependence on the initial sensitivity, but whereas a simple linear row of dominoes would cause one event to initiate another similar one, the butterfly effect amplifies the condition upon each iteration. The butterfly effect branches out in all possible directions and starting out small, causes major changes, thus the energy amplifies in proportion to the distance from the said butterfly. We all know that in non-linear systems, small differences of the initial condition will give rise to large differences in later stages.

A tiny cause which escapes our notice at first determines a considerable effect that we cannot fail to see, and we say the effect is due to chance. But... If we exactly knew the laws of nature (bare with me) and the situation of the universe at the initial moment, we could perhaps predict exactly the situation of that same universe at a succeeding moment. But even if the natural laws no longer held any secrets for us, we could still know the situation only approximative. If that enabled us to predict the succeeding situation with the same grade of approximation, that is all we require, and we should say that the phenomenon had been predicted, that it is governed by the laws. But it is not always so!! It may happen that small differences in the initial conditions produces very great ones in the final phenomena. A small error in the former will produce an enormous error in the latter, will it not?? Predictions become impossible... And thus we stand before a random phenomenon, my friends. But that "randomness" is just an illusion. Humans weren't made to be very perceptive creatures, there are only a narrow spectrum of sounds a human ear is capable of hearing, and only a narrow spectrum of light a human eye is capable of detecting, and so on... The complexity of the butterfly effect is only something we could ponder on the subject of, that is all. We can't see it, and thus can't prove it. Most people don't even believe in it. The ignorant will always turn away from the knowledge they aren't able to process and explain.
In school, students are taught mostly about linear systems, and non-linear systems are simplified into linear systems to be soluble. But actually, in nature, linear systems are exceptions. Non-linear systems are fundamental. And the butterfly effect is common in non-linear systems
I don't know, I may be wrong about this... But the bottom line is, things happen for a reason and each small thing leads to something else that in turn leads to something else, and that grows into something, and then one ends up having what they have on their hands. Throw some human error in the mix, and some confusion, as well as some stupidity and deception... Sprinkle with emotions and voila... The murky waters of life we must daily surf are served
